Beatles "Abbey Road" Misaligned Apple UK Pressing LP on Apple Records, catalog #PCS-7088
UK Laminate Jacket with Mis-aligned apple on reverse. No jacket listing for "Her Majesty" Dark Apple labels, original white inner sleeve, "Her Majesty" listed on side 2 label. Matrix Numbers -- Side One: YEX 749-2 & Side Two: YEX 750-1
There is a long-running debate as to whether these are first editions or simply very early pressings. Some claim that true 1st editions have the mis-aligned Apple, a black inner sleeve & no listing for "Her Majesty" others claim that both were issued simultaneously and therefore are both 'true' 1st edition pressings with a rather minor variance. In any case, this was one of the very first pressings of Abbey Road & the matrix numbers are the original 1st edition matrices indicating that the exact same source was used for both the version with "Her Majesty" on the side 2 and the one without. So, all-in-all, whichever side you believe, this is a nice clean copy of a rare pressing of a truly classic LP.

Jacket is in great shape with overall very slight wear. Slight ring dent & laminate spiders at edges. Minor corner dings & a slight bit of additional, but still minor wear at the open edge. Original stamped white inner sleeve, in great condition. Jacket & inner sleeve edges are all intact.
Vinyl is glossy like new and overall very clean. There are a handful of slight surface marks. Long light mark on side B. All are very shallow surface marks and do not affect play. Play tested on a Technics linear-read turntable, no skips or jumps, significant pops, etc. Slight noise, most noticeably between songs & during quieter parts of some songs.
