The Beatles - 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band'. PCS 7027
I am currently selling a number of foreign (non UK) Beatles albums among others which I have collected over the years. If unusual label designs and label errors are your thing, take a look and enjoy.
The Beatles BARBADOS pressing of the 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' LP. Released on the one EMI box / Parlophone record label it features ‘The Gramophone Co.Ltd’ rim print, UK catalogue number - PCS 7027 and UK matrix numbers - YEX 637-1 and YEX 638-1. Barbados was of course a former British colony which gained it’s independence in 1966. The labels also have an unusual ridged design similar to Decca pressings.
The cover features a gold foil sticker which states: ‘THIS RECORD MADE IN BARBADOS BY WEST INDIES RECORDS LTD’. The cover does say ‘Made and printed in Great Britain’ but it is unlike any UK cover as it is made from thick card like the USA covers. My guess is they used the same UK graphic set up but the cover was made elsewhere? It contains no insert and a completely blank inner sleeve. I do not know if this originally game with an insert as this is the only Barbados vinyl I have owned. A rare foreign pressing.
The Matrix numbers are:
Side 1. YEX 637-1 (No other digits).
Side 2. YEX 638-1 2 (No other digits).
The vinyl is in VERY GOOD+ condition.
Both labels are in EXCELLENT- condition. BUT side two has ‘GUARD’ written neatly in black pen (very hard to see).
The sleeve is in VERY GOOD condition.
The inner sleeve is in VERY GOOD condition. I will also include an additional inner sleeve to protect the original.
This LP will be very carefully packaged for transit. UK recorded postage is: £4.55. EU recorded postage is: £12.95. Rest of the world recorded postage is: £18.95. Combined, reduced postage is available.
