Description
Absolutely Stunning Original 1965 UK Mono 1st Pressing 'Help' by The Beatles. UK 1st Press Quality Pressed Thick & Chunky Vinyl -2//-2 1st Press Matrix with 1st Press KT Embossed Tax Codes!!! Complete w/ Beautiful Thickly Laminated 1st Press Garrod & Lofthouse Mono Sleeve!!! A Beautiful Record That Has Barely Been Played - Very Rare For Any Beatles1st Pressing!!!
Here is another gem from my own mostly Nr Mint personal collection (which I am selling off gradually to lessen the pain...) I have been collecting very rare vinyl for a long time now. As a collector, I have been very critical about the condition of the records I have chosen to buy over the years, and only selected the most pristine 1st pressings I have found. My collection is therefore filled with not only the rarest UK 1st pressings, but also records of the highest grade quality condition, some of the best you will probably ever come across. Sadly, most now have to find new homes. As I said, I am very strict with my grading, so when I describe a record as Nr Mint - you can rest assured that it will be a true Nr Mint record (I never grade any records as Mint because Mint does not exist unless you own a time machine and go back and bag a job in a 1960's record pressing plant!) This record is very special indeed!!!
You are bidding on THE ORIGINAL EARLIEST UK Mono 1st Pressing (-2//-2 Matrix) of The Beatles 'Help'! However, what makes this 1st pressing even more special is that it is in beautiful EX++ Condition, throughout!!! I cannot begin to stress how amazing this record looks!!! This record is a stunner from its virtually totally unblemished disc with impossible glass-like sheen and it's beautiful sleeve with its complete lack of wear and its bright vibrant colours and the beautiful whiteness of the background with NO discolouration, right down to its correct MINT- original poly-lined 'Emitex' inner sleeve!!! To find a true chunky -2//-2 (there was never a -1//-1 Matrix for this record, the -2//-2 is the TRUE 1st pressing) is hard enough, believe me. But to find one in this condition throughout like this is very hard indeed. This is an absolutely essential record for any high-grade Beatles/Beat/Psych collection. Don't Miss!!!

What can I say about the vinyl that I have not already said? It is stone cold mint- with NO Scratches, No scuffing, NO Hairlines NO Bagrash, NO blemishes of any kind at all! It is absolutely perfect!!! This disc looks like it came off the master press this morning!!! It has all the deep shine a newly pressed record that as only ever been played once or at the most twice before!!! Impossible for a MONO 1st press Beatles album!!! The record still retains ALL of its original gloss and shine and has NO dulling and NO nasty greying of the grooves!!! This kind of glass-like sheen is SO rare for original Beatles 1st press records as they almost always turn up with horrendous groove wear leading to a dull sheen. Once again, this one has the pristine glass-like sheen of a record that was pressed yesterday - very special indeed!!! There is just a solitary light hairline visible on Side 2 and that's it!!! Other than this one hairline the record is blemish free save for occasional paper lines (which are invisible unless holding the record angled toward strong light and are simply caused by removing the record from its inner sleeve. I have no hesitation whatsoever with grading this vinyl as a strong Ex+!!! Its as simple as that!!! It is that most elusive of things, a true UK Beatles Mono 1st pressing of Help with NO groove wear at all!!! (suitable for the highest grade mint- collection - you will not find a better example!!) Now we get to the Classic 1st press Yellow on Black centre labels, and here lies the only real flaw with this record. The side B label has has some light red scribbles to the Parlophone logo, it has partly been coloured red. It's annoying, I know, however, don't let it put you off this one because the rest of this package is very very special indeed!!! Aside from the partial colour on the side B label, these labels are in stunning Ex+++ condition with NO Tears, NO Peeling, NO Scribbles and NO unwanted writing of any kind!!! There are only the faintest spindle lines from the record's few plays by the original owner. The gramophone rims containing the all important 1st press matrix's are MINT-!!! The classic TRUE 1st press thickly laminated flipback Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve (beware - the E.J. Day sleeve is a second pressing!!!) is also in absolutely stunning condition!!! Quite how it has remained in such STUNNING condition when these sleeves virtually always turn up discoloured and trashed is a testament to the former owner's (and my!) archiving!!! As you all probably know, these true Garrod & Lofthouse 1st press sleeves, being predominantly white, with un-laminated white backs, have suffered terribly over the years with discolouration, grubbyness, stains, writing and nicks, tears & rips. And when they do turn up nowadays, they are totally worn out-looking and lifeless with severe damage to the spine, with corner & edge wear, stains and ring wear (especially to the back). Suffice to say, these rare 1st press sleeves have not remained in prime condition over the years. THIS SLEEVE IS DIFFERENT!! The sleeve is in STUNNING Ex++ condition with NO Discolouration, NO Stains, NO Scribbles NO Tears/Rips/Nicks NO unwanted writing of any kind and Mint tight flipbacks!!! It retains ALL of its original stiffness. The laminate is also the best I have ever seen, it visibly glistens and looks almost 'wet' in appearance!!! It is PURE WHITE with NO discolouration at all!!! It has NO edge and corner wear!!! The corners are RAZOR sharp!!! The edges and spine are MINT - That's right, NO edge or spine wear at all! The unlaminated back is also PRISTINE and almost PURE WHITE with no marks or grubbyness AT ALL!!! Impossible for this sleeve!! This sleeve really has to be seen to be believed, it is almost as new!!! and easily grades as EX++!!! As I mentioned previously, please rest assured that this is in no way over-graded, what you are getting here is the real deal. I adhere strictly to record collector grading standards!!! IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND 1ST PRESS E. J. DAY TEXTURED SLEEVES IN THIS CONDITION ANYMORE!!! The LP comes with its Original correct UK 1st press 'Emitex' poly-lined windowed inner sleeve - which, again, is in stunning MINT- condition, with no writing, no creases and no separation of the inner poly-lining. Beautiful!! Please check out our feedback and bid with confidence as this is a no reserve auction with a very low starting price! Do not underestimate the rarity of this record in this condition!!! UK 1st press copies in such stunning condition are as such is in very high demand today. Do not let the mark on the side B label put you off this record, it is still a very special record even with the mark!!! If you have never heard it, you will not find another copy that looks prettier than this one!! If you are a collector/investor, the price of this record will just rise and rise. This record would be an essential addition to any high grade 1st press Beatles/Beat/Psych collection. You will not see another like this for a very long time!!! Don't miss this one!!!
I have tried to show you the record from all angles - there's nothing to hide!!! If you are not sure of anything just email me - I will be happy to help. Don't underestimate the rarity of this LP - finding a UK 1st press of this LP in this kind of condition is impossible today!!! Good Luck!!!

Postage ... Hazey Jane has absolutely NO hidden surcharges; the price you win is the price you pay, just add the relevant postage, it's as simple as that! We always combine postage so if you win more than 1 auction you save money on postage costs! We will only ship to non-UK countries via Airmail - we do not use surface mail, it is way too slow and thus increases the risk of records being damaged during transit.
A little note about insurance - Please read carefully... If the value of your record(s) is over £30, your invoice will include an insured option. Being the responsible adults you are, it is entirely up to you to take this up - we strongly advise you to do this but will not hassle you about it. You either add the required insurance or you don't. If you do add the required insurance and your record is lost/damaged, you will get a refund. If you don't add the required insurance and your record is lost/damaged, you will not get a refund. Can we be any clearer? I think not.

Refunds & Feedback ... Please read this carefully ... We try to give you the best quality examples of rare records available. However, there will always be somebody out there whose expectations far exceed UK record collector grading standards. If you are in anyway unsatisfied with your record or our grading of it please refer to the UK Record Collector Grading Chart very carefully BEFORE emailing us. We strictly adhere to it and will only offer refunds (minus the postage AND our eBay costs) if we are satisfied that we have fallen below UK record collector grading standards. This will very rarely, if ever, happen. We will not be impressed with buyers disputing our gradings without even bothering to check the UK record collector grading standards chart first - you have been warned ...
Buyers who continually Haggle, Whine and Moan to try to decrease the price they won their auctions for will be blocked from bidding on future auctions and can toodle off down to HMV or Virgin where they can harass the counter staff there.
We will always leave feedback upon receipt of feedback. In an ideal world we would like to leave feedback as soon as the record has been shipped but due to feedback blackmail in the past (i,e, ",,,I want a partial refund or I will leave negative feedback") we have opted to take this measure. Contact must be made within 3 days of winning the auction. If payment has not been received after 10 days a non paying bidder alert will be placed. If payment is then not received within 7 days Negative feedback WILL be left and the buyer WILL be given a strike by eBay. Thanks for reading.
