Description
This is not a Beatles Live LP. It is an attempt to conjure up the atmosphere of a Beatles show from 1961 by taking the first documented Beatles set list and presenting the songs they sang in the order in which they were performed. In order to enhance the fantasy listening experience, we have selected live performances of the music where available. Liverpool musician John Cochrane transcribed this list of songs the Beatles played at the Aintree Institute sometime in January/February 1961, just before the group’s departure for a season at the Top Ten Club in Hamburg. But then again, it may have been at the Lathom Hall in Seaforth...
