A high quality peel recently sold in a catalog auction for $7500 ! Look for yourself at the offerings on the net. The opening bid is more than reasonable for a genuine Butcher Cover of this quality. This is a great opportunity to purchase a jacket that you will be proud to display.
Please read complete description prior to bidding.
Condition:
Butcher Cover is beautiful and something that any fan would treasure. The seams and spine on this jacket are decent which is unusual on most of these record jackets. Please see below for further more specific details about jacket condition. Scranton factory glue lines from the trunk adhering process is minimal.
Seams: Best part of this jacket is that both top and bottom seams are complete with only a bit of tip wear to the top corner tip at the very end near the mouth opening. Bottom seam is complete with just a few pinpoint wear spots. These spots are minute and only mentioned for accuracy. Please see photos.
Spine: Spine is also complete and printing is fully legible. Only beginning light check cracks here and there.
Back Of Jacket: The back of the jacket shows some light wear/aging with a small light stain in top right hand corner. (Please see photos prior to bidding).
Trunk Slick: Removed Trunk Slick is included as shown with wrinkling/wear and tear from the peeling process. See photos.
Record/Inner Sleeve: Mono Record is included in good visual condition (has not been play graded). Prior owner highlighted the Capitol logo on one side with pink marker. Original 1966 Orange Capitol inner sleeve included in nice shape with just a few inches of split on the very bottom which is very common for these.
Look around for prices and quality on Mono peels out there. Many are noticeable amateur efforts with noticeable damage from unprofessional peeling. Although this jacket does show some tanning and light glue lines/residue from the Capitol factory glue application process, regardless, this presents better than 99% of all Mono peels that you see out there in this price range. This is an awesome piece of Rock and Roll history.
Terms Of Auction/Shipping:
Due to the recent inflation and subsequent increases in actual USPS shipping costs, Buyer pays $34.99 for properly packed double boxed priority shipping with tracking. Shipping of such a high value, large package with significant weigh is costly and labor intensive and will likely be more that what is being charged here. Regardless, the cost to you will be capped at $34.99. No International Shipping on this item.
Bidders with low feedback or new accounts should contact us prior to bidding on this item. Seller reserves the right to cancel bids at any time.
Due to the exceptional cost and labor involved in shipping this item, this is being sold "AS IS" and there are No Returns on this purchase. Please review all photos and descriptions and please contact with questions prior to bidding. This item has been through a laborious process from the 2nd state to what you see here, and as such, the grading is unique on this item. This cannot be graded like a comic book or a baseball card due to the fact that this jacket has twice been altered from its original state, once by the paste over process at the Capitol Factory and likewise by the peeling process. Any minor imperfections are from either process. The photos speak for themselves and we do our best to accurately grade these historic artifacts.
NOTE: T-SHIRT SEEN IN BACKGROUND IS NOT INCLUDED IN THIS AUCTION.Thank You and Happy Bidding !
