The exposed portion of the back liner that wrapped around to the top of the jacket has the phrase "File Under: The Beatles (erased the words: Vocal Group ) " as well as a large black dot and the catalogue number. FRONT COVER CLOSE UP The Capitol logo and the phrase "HIGH FIDELITY" appear in black. BACK COVER CLOSE UP The "Capitol Records High Fidelity Recording" logo and Capitol/EMI logo mark were printed on the back cover.
Dexter's sole contribution to the album was the selection and sequencing of the songs. BACK COVER CLOSE UP The lower portion of the back liner contains "MADE IN U.S.A. • FACTORIES: SCRANTON, PA. - LOS ANGELES, CALIF." and the RIAA (Record Industry Association of America" logo.
Most of the back liners have a small numeral located near the lower right or left corner. These numbers were used by Capitol to identify where the album cover was manufactured.

LABEL CLOSE UP The original issue Capitol albums were manufactured with black label backdrops with an outer rim colorband.
"East Coast" Pressings have "BEATLES' 65" title loosely spaced.
Catalogue number "T-2228" was printed at the right side of the center hole. The labels for records manufactured on the East Coast were printed by Keystone Printed Specialties, Inc. in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The labels for the West Coast were printed by Bert-Co Enterprises in Los Angeles, California. The labels can be differentiated by the font of the number "one" at nine o’clock on the side one labels.

COMMENTS Released in December 1964, Beatles '65 is the Beatles' fifth album issued by Capitol Records, but their seventh American album.
Beatles '65 includes 8 of the 14 songs from Beatles for Sale (omitting "Eight Days a Week", "Words of Love", "Every Little Thing", "I Don't Want to Spoil the Party", "What You're Doing" and the "Kansas City/Hey, Hey, Hey, Hey" medley, all of which were issued later on Beatles VI). It also includes "I'll Be Back" from the UK A Hard Day's Night album and both sides of the single "I Feel Fine / She's a Woman".
The front cover to the album features four color pictures from an October 1964 photo session by Robert Whitaker in which the group holds various props. The pictures symbolize the four seasons: Winter, Spring, Summer and Autumn.

The black and white back liner has the album's title in the same graphics as the front cover.
The right center has a box with the album's track listing along with the production credit, which reads "Produced in England by George Martin and in the U.S.A. by Dave Dexter, Jr." Dexter's assistance consisted of selecting and sequencing the songs.
The lower portion of the back liner features images of the covers of the first three Capitol Beatles albums, "The Beatles Song Book by the Hollyridge Strings" and "The Beatles Story".
The usual factory information is centered at the bottom and the RIAA logo is in the lower right corner.
The back of the mono cover has the Capitol / EMI box logo in the upper left corner and the catalogue number T 2228, the High Fidelity logo and "Also available in stereo" in uppercase letters in the upper right corner.

The original front cover slicks:
1) printed by Bert-Co are gray,
2) while those printed by Queens Litho are green.

When "Beatles' 65" was originally issued, Capitol had factories in
1) Scranton, Pensylvania
2) Los Angeles, California 
3) In mid. 1965, added a pressing plant in Jacksonville, Illinois. (Stereo Only)

Capitol did not fabricate its own album covers. Capitol required the cover manufacturer to place a factory identification number on the back liners. The fabricators added a small number, usually in the lower right corner.
