Description

BEATLES Butcher cover 4-color chromalin printers proof from Capitol's original 1966 negatives
LAST ONE!!!! THESE HAVE SOLD IN THE PAST FOR WELL OVER $700.
Stunning quality, must be seen to be believed! Made by a master printer who started his career in the early 1960s, a printer who was familiar with the exact type pf negatives that Capitol used. These prints were made via a complex process that took over an hour to produce each one. The process utilized photosensitized clear plastic which is exposed to the image and processed in layers of color to simulate the final printed image.
The image was made using the actual original 1st generation Capitol Records negatives from 1966.
Condition: MINT 9.99. The quality is better than you have seen for any butcher cover image. The image is glossy with lots of depth, on heavy stock specialized photo paper.
The cost to produce a single print was nearly $200, and that was many decades ago! Only a handful were ever made (less than 10).
The Butcher cover image area is 12-3/4" x 12-3/4" (since it is uncropped, it's larger than the LP cover image).
The print itself is 14-1/2" x 16".
Will be well-packaged for shipping in thick heavy cardboard. Shipping weight is approx. 4 Lbs.
