Description
This is a reasonably priced ORIGINAL 1969 CAPITOL RECORDS U.S. MONO PROMO ONLY LP titled 'Capitol Hits Through The Years', issued in 1969 as a promotional item to commemorate the big hits issued on the Capitol label between its inception in 1942 and 1969. Capitol Records catalog number is PRO-4724. The songs are presented in medleys by year, and the medleys from the years 1963 through 1968 contain segments of Beatles songs as shown in the accompanying image of the contents of the album from the back cover of the album. Condition of record is a nice high VG++ with just a very few light visible surface marks which cannot be felt and do not affect play. Condition of cover is also VG+ with the 1/4" beginning of a split in the bottom edge at the bottom right corner, some contact wear, and some wear and a little flaking along the edges and on the corners. Cover has no water damage, writing, tears, or stickers. This RARE PROMO ONLY LP would be a choice addition to any Beatles record collection!
