BEATLES Emi Onsker P3 Tillykke unknown promo DENMARK T Rex MARC BOLAN

The HOLY GRAIL of danish Beatles releases!!! As far as I know this LP is COMPLETELY UNKNOWN to Beatles collectors! This is an absolutely ULTRA RARE record, and only a handful were ever pressed.

The title of this LP translates to "EMI Wishes P3 Good Luck After The First 10 Years". In 1973 the danish state owned radio station "P3" had been going for 10 years and to celebrate that, EMI Denmark put together this one-sided LP and sent it to the P3 office. It consists of short presentations of each song in danish followed by the entire tune. The Beatles tunes included on this LP are "She Loves You", "Yellow Submarine" and George Harrison's "My Sweet Lord". There are also tunes included by T. Rex / Marc Bolan ("Metal Guru"), The Hollies ("Sorry Suzanne"), Dave Clark Five and Cliff Richards. HAVE A LISTEN BELOW! I have edited together the interesting parts.

The LP has got an old His Master's Voice label on the a-side and a white label on the b-side. The B-side of the vinyl is blank. There are no matrix markings at all in the run-out grooves. The record comes in a die-cut Columbia flipback sleeve with lamninated front.

Sleeve condition: EX+
Vinyl condition: M- (has got an edge warp, but it does NOT affect play)

SOUNDCLIP:

Double-click on the "play" button above to listen to SOUND CLIPS of both sides! If the player above doesn't work, click HERE to listen to the MP3.
