1st Pressing from 1964 in Stereo

George Martin and his orchestra's instrumental arrangements of  Beatles hits.

 Normally these are found in the Mono format, Stereo being still much more scarce in 1964.

This LP is particularly first  1 R mother/ stamp combination, making this a very early pressing.

The Sleeve: In Very Good condition.  All text legible, pictorials glossy and has held original colours well. Front and rear panels are smooth, and clean with clear print with a few creases to an otherwise unblemished pictorials of The Beatles with George Martin. Some storage scuffing on the openingedges and some light marks/ off-white aging on the rear panel, but otherwise not much to fault about the condition.

The length of the spine is complete without any laminate fraying, and all original title and catalogue number text is legible. The sleeve is firm and flat and intact.

There are no rips or splits anywhere. The sleeve is sturdy and firm and holds the record well.

Inner Sleeve: Correct EMITEX tracing paper lined inner sleeve, still sturdy and holds the vinyl well. A little creasing but overall very fine condition for an original with no splitting. Very Good Plus condition.

The Vinyl: Grade at Very Good to Very Good Plus. Both sides have no feelable or deep scratches, with  a few fine stylus surface hairline marks and wispy sleeve trails which are mainly viewable under strong light in some areas. There are no scuffs or warps or dinks in the vinyl or anything that causes any detractions or interference to the audio. The majority of the area on each sides are  blemish free, and the pressing sheen is still pwith no dulling or apparent groove wear.

This record is in nice condition, as is generally the case with Stereo format LP's from the era they were not overplayed on poor equipment.

The record lays completely flat on the turntable.

Robust 60's vinyl's weighing at around 165 grams.

Labels: Very Good Plus. All text is clear and bright, the perimeter area around the spindle location is neat with a little location wear to the perimeter, spindle line traces to see in normal  light but not heavy.

The Audio: The audio grades as Excellent on both sides of the discs. The LP plays through clearly on both sides, with no pops, no background noises such as crackle or hiss, and there are no skips/jumps or sticks. There are just a few light static ticks but these are where to be expected i.e. In quieter interludes very occasionally including the run-ins on dead-wax grooves preceding and succeeding a few of the tracks. This record plays very well on the whole without any static ticks or other interference, offering a a full bass perfect stereo channelling with no feedback or hiss. The  instrumentals are crisp and clear and these are punchy orchestration tunes true to The Beatles style not slow renditions.

This LP will be securely delivered in a professional cardboard LP mailer with cardboard stifferners.

New plain generic poly-lined inner sleeves will house the records, and the originals will be placed separately.

A new protective gatefold PVC 180 gsm gatefold sleeve is included as shown to house the LP.

This White Album will be delivered by recorded delivery in the UK.

Overseas postage will be tracked all the way and a tracking number given.
