USA MONO THIRD PRESSING VINYL ALBUM WITH ORIGINAL WHITE INNER SLEEVE.

Specific to this pressing indicating it is not a counterfeit:

Sleeve has shadow of George Harrison on right side.
 Front cover wraps completely underneath the back cover slick. 
Title and artist NOT seperated by spindle hole on the label.  
This pressing has the same typesetting as the second label variation [color band], having left justified song titles and credits, including the “Coffin-King” typo, with “LONGPLAYING” on the left of the spindle hole, and SIDE I / SIDE II above MICROGROOVE on the right of the spindle hole.
The matrix details verify it is a bonifide pressing [see below], specifically the hand etched markings: “URJ”, “A1”, the date 2-6-64 and the matrix followed by “-1?, plus a machine stamped Audio Matrix logo  
This thick vinyl pressing was manufactured by Southern Plastics.
Back cover has no comma in the title "Please Please Me."

MATRIX:  SIDE A:  AudioMatrix 63-3402-1 2-6-64 URJ A1 /  SIDE B: AudioMatrix 63-3403-1 2-6-64 URJ A1.

SLEEVE: VERY GOOD+.  NO SEAM SPLITS, JUST LIGHT SHELF, CORNER, EDGE AND RING WEAR.  A VERY DECENT SLEEVE FOR ITS AGE.  INNER SLEEVE HAS NICKS AND SEAM SPLITS.

DISC[S]: VISUALLY VERY GOOD+ WITH A FEW LIGHT SCRATCHES, PLAY SCUFFS, SPINDLE WEAR AND HAIRLINES. WE HAVE VPI CLEANED THIS DISC, AND IT PLAYS AND SOUNDS TERRIFIC, VERY PUNCHY AND PRESSED LOUD, IT PLAYS WAY BETTER THAN IT LOOKS - SOME POPS AND TICKS BUT NO SKIPS OR JUMPS.  CLEAN LABELS.

Why buy a first or early pressing and not a re-issue or a ‘re-mastered’ vinyl album?

First and early pressings are pressed from the first generation lacquers and stampers. They usually sound vastly superior to later issues/re-issues (which, in recent times, are often pressed from whatever 'best' tapes or digital sources are currently available) - many so-called 'audiophile' new 180g pressings are cut from hi-res digital sources…essentially an expensive CD pressed on vinyl.  Why  experience the worse elements of both formats?  These are just High Maintenance CDs.  There are exceptions where re-masters/re-presses outshine the original issues, but they are exceptions and not the norm.

First or early pressings nearly always have more immediacy, presence and dynamics. The sound staging is wider.  Subtle instrument nuances are better placed with more spacious textures. Balances are firmer in the bottom end with a far-tighter bass. Upper-mid ranges shine without harshness, and the overall depth is more immersive.  Inner details are  clearer.

On first and early pressings, the music tends to sound more ‘alive’ and vibrant.  The physics of sound energy is hard to clarify and write about from a listening perspective, but the best we can describe it is to say that you can 'hear' what the mixing and mastering engineers wanted you to hear when they first recorded the music.
