ORIGINAL 1970 LP "REPRODUCED" AND ARRANGED BY THE LEGENDARY “WALL OF SOUND" CREATOR PHIL SPECTOR.

THIS ORIGINAL U.S. PRESSING HAS THE UNUSUAL APPLE LABEL VARIATION WHICH FEATURES A WHOLE, RED APPLE ON ONE SIDE AND A SPLIT APPLE ON THE OTHER.

This is a VERY rare version of the label which credits the arrangement for the song “Maggie Mae” to the individual members of the band, IE, "P.D. arr. Lennon; McCartney; Harrison; Starkey" rather than the much more common version which only credits the song to “P.D.” (public domain)!

THIS COPY FEATURES A BEAUTIFUL GATEFOLD COVER, MADE OF THICK CARDBOARD.
THE COVER IS STILL IN ITS ORIGINAL SHRINKWRAP (BUT OPEN) AND IT INCLUDES AN ORIGINAL PRICE TAG OF $1.99 (!!).
THIS IS NOT A CUTOUT PRICE - NOR IS THERE ANY CUTOUT MARK ON THE ALBUM ANYWHERE! THIS IS THE ORIGINAL SALE PRICE FOR THE ALBUM WHEN IT WAS RELEASED OVER 40 YEARS AGO!

BEAR IN MIND, THERE WERE MANY PIRATE ISSUES OF THIS ALBUM SOLD IN RECORD STORES. THEY ARE DENOTED BY OFF-REGISTERED COVER ART AND INFERIOR VINYL PRESSINGS. THIS IS ONE OF THE ORIGINAL ISSUE PRESSINGS AND IS 100% LEGITIMATE!!

THE COVER IS MINT WITH CRISP EDGES ALL AROUND.

THE VINYL IS IN EXCEPTIONAL, MINT CONDITION WITH NO SIGNS OF WEAR!!

FINDING THIS ALBUM IN CONDITION AS GOOD AS THIS IS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT. FINDING A COPY AS GOOD AS THIS WITH ITS SHRINKWRAP STILL INTACT IS NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE!

A STELLAR COPY OF A RARE RECORD! THE FINEST SPECIMEN WE'VE SEEN IN OVER 20 YEARS!!

RECORD GRADING POLICY

MINT = like new or near new with only one or two small insignificant defects, a 9 or better on a 1-10 scale

EXCELLENT = Would be Near Mint, except for a couple of light hairlines or scuffs, which do not affect play

VG++ = still a very nice record with all or nearly all of its original gloss but may have a few more light, surface marks, hairlines, needle tracks or the like which should not materially affect play

VG+ = a nice, but used record that may have a series of light scuffs or scratches. It probably plays with a few pops, but has no serious problems.

VG = a well-used record that still should sound OK when played, but may have moderate surface noise, pops, etc.

VG- = a very well-worn record that plays through without skipping, but will do until a better copy comes along.

Good = not actually good at all but probably will play through but with much in the way of surface noise, pops, crackles, etc. Still, will have no cracks, chips or the like

Fair = you are getting this record just to own but not to play

Poor = the sky's the limit, generally I will discard a record this bad (and sell the cover, jacket or sleeve alone) unless the label holds some particular interest

PLEASE NOTE: We have set our shipping prices to cover costs on an average basis. You may be charged slightly more - or less - than the actual cost of postage; Priority postage varies according to destination, records and jackets vary in weight, all of which makes it impossible to set an exact "correct" price for all customers, especially internationally. We ship all LP's in new (unused) custom LP mailers. We pack records with filler pads, placing the disc in an inner sleeve outside the cover to prevent seam splitting in transit. Part of our postage fee covers the cost of the mailer and pads (which currently costs us up to a dollar per).
