Description

THE BEATLES

"LOVE ME DO" b/w "P.S. I LOVE YOU"

MEGA-RARE! 1962 UK ORIGINAL Parlophone 45-R 4949, 'A-Label' PR0M0 0NLY - the very FIRST true Beatles single, the very first UK Parlophone PR0M0 single, and a beautiful copy of this most important & rarest of all Beatles UK demo records.

Labels are gorgeous, with only a faint hint of storage.  There is a small red marker blurb above the B-side title, otherwise no writing, no stickers, no markings of any sort. And yes, this is the classic single with Paul's name grossly mis-spelled on both labels as 'McArtney'.

Matrix:

A) 7XCE 17144-IN, with ZT at 9:00 and JR (or JN I just can't focus on it, sorry) at 3:00. There is a faint and purely superficial little mark in the deadwax at about 1:00 otherwise shiny and gorgeous.

B) 7XCE 17145-IN, ZT/JR (or JN...) - there is one short and purely superficial little surface mark near the beginning of the record at 6:00 otherwise no marks.

Still in the UK Parlophone label 'Stars Turn On...' sleeve it was in when I bought it years ago, although I think this sleeve may be older than the record and just added for looks, I don't know.

OVERALL absolutely gorgeous VG++.
