BEATLES LP HELP! 1965 MONO PARLOPHONE PMC1255 FIRST PRESS EX+/EX
On offer is a lovely condition BEATLES LP – HELP! released in the UK in MONO on the yellow-black PARLOPHONE label PARLOPHONE PMC 1255 in 1965.
This particular pressing is the FIRST PRESS Yellow / Black MONO - with the ‘THE GRAMOPHONE CO.LTD.’ and ‘SOLD IN UK …’ label text, with the outline ‘mono’ on the front cover. The LP comes with its original ‘USE EMITEX’ polythene –lined inner sleeve.
The LP also comes with the poster from the March 1985 Beatles Monthly Book which had featured the filming of Help! in Australia. I always kept these together - so I thought it best to keep them with this LP when I offered it for sale on eBay. (see pics.)
This is a lovely EX+/EX condition MONO original first press HELP! Beatles LP as follows:
v The Garrod &Lofthouse Ltd. flip-back sleeve is in lovely EX+ condition.The disc is in lovely EX condition with a nice sheen to it. It has a few hairline marks when looked at under light: which do not affect play at all.
v I have test played the LP for this auction (for the first time in many years!) and both sides of the disc play beautifully throughout with a full dynamic range on my hi-fi.
v The Matrix numbers are: Side 1: XEX 543-2. Side 2: XEX 550 -2.
v The disc has nice clear, clean labels on both sides of the LP. The label has ‘THE GRAMOPHONE CO. LTD.’ & ‘SOLD IN UK…’ text and has the K.T. tax code.
v The LP has been kept stored in a plastic sleeve for the many years I have owned it. It has been really well looked after over all these years.
v The LP comes with its original ‘USE EMITEX’ Parlophone inner in nice condition. Ever since I purchased this LP many years ago I have kept the disc separately housed in a white inner (also supplied) to protect the disc and the original EMITEX inner.
Overall this is a great example indeed of this Beatles LP – which is extremely hard-to-find in the lovely EX+/EX condition that this LP is in.
