Description
Complete & original 1st UK press box set of The Beatles - Let It Be, from 8th May 1970.
The 1st pressing of The Beatles - Let It Be can be identified by the -2U/-2U matrix endings in the runouts; a small ℗ publishing symbol on the labels; and a red Apple logo in the back of the LP sleeve. The 1st pressing was released as a box set that came with a 164-page 'Get Back' book; the vinyl album; plain 'patents pending' inner sleeve; red Apple logo sleeve; outer box slip case; slip tray; and delicate inner book holder. Some box sets also contained a foldout promotional poster for other Apple releases.

CONDITION:
The Disc
Beautiful condition. It's hard to find a 1st press -2U/-2U matrix disc in top MINT- condition like this. Visually it is glossy and clean, both sides have no marks or wear visible in both good natural light and under direct strong halogen spotlight. Perfect! The audio playback is superb. Quiet run-ins to both sides, very quiet between tracks and in soft passages or quiet tracks like the title track 'Let It Be' which plays superbly. No obtrusive pops, repeat clicks and clearly no skips of sticks in this superior condition. It's a great listen! The disc sits completely flat on the turntable and does not have any warping or dishing. The labels are clean and unworn.
The Sleeve
The red apple 1st press sleeve has a glossy and clean front and back without ring wear, sharp edges and corners, and a fully readable spine, NEAR MINT!
The Inner
The original white paper inner sleeve is clean, without stains writing, or rips/splits, NEAR MINT!
The Book
The original 164-page book has a glossy clean front and back, and unworn fully-readable spine. All pages are intact and not loose or coming loose. NEAR MINT!
The Box (outer slipcase)
The box outer slipcase with 4 square panel images of the Beatles is in fantastic condition. The front os glossy and clean without print fading or discolouration. No wear to the edges. Light signs of handling only, no seam splitting, tears or marks, EXCELLENT!
The Box (slipcase tray)
The box slipcase tray is normally in poor condition due to being pulled at from the sides and also flattened. This tray has only mild wear and creaminess and still supports the shape of the box from the side edges well. No rips tears or heavy wear, VERY GOOD PLUS!
The Box (inner book holder)
The box inner book holder - the most delicate part of the set is in fantastic condition. Fully intact, no tears at the inner corners as is usually the case, no rips, only light creasing at the inner corners, EXCELLENT!
Apple promo mini poster
The original Apple records mini-poster is fully intact without only light crease lines, EXCELLENT!
Overall an superb condition, complete 1st UK pressing box set with rare promo poster, all original parts in great looking and fantastic playing condition.
