MINT= Absolutely perfect in every way, possibly even still sealed.

NM= A nearly perfect record.

VG++= Record surfaces may show signs that it was rarely played and otherwise handled by a previous owner that took extremely good care of it. Record surfaces may show very minimal amount of surface scuffing and/or scratching that does not affect one's listening pleasure.

VG+= Record will show some signs that it was played and otherwise handled by a previous owner. Record surfaces may show some signs of wear and may have scuffs and/or scratches that do not affect one's listening pleasure. Sometimes there might be light to some surface noise and/or minimal skipping.

VG=   Surface noise will be evident upon playing, but will not overpower the music otherwise. Light scratching will be noticeable that might or will affect the sound. Many times, the record will play through with minimal skipping.

GOOD= Good does not mean bad! Record can often be put on to a turntable and play through without skipping. But it will have significant surface noise and scratches and visible groove wear.
