Description
This is the original UK Double LP by the BEATLES, THE WHITE ALBUM, 1968 1st Press MONO, on the Dark Green APPLE label PMC 7067/8, with "Sold in the UK" and (p) label credits. The gatefold cover is the MONO 1st issue, TOP OPENER, NUMBERED 0024047, with the embossed word 'The Beatles' on the front, the album comes complete with the original black inner sleeves, large Garrod and Lofthouse credited poster, and four prints, even has the original white seperation sheet. Matrix numbers are, side 1:- XEX 709-1, side 2:- XEX 710-1, side 3:- XEX 711-1, side 4:- XEX 712-1, EMI stamping codes are, side 1:- 3/AP, side 2:- 7/AT, side 3:- 1/MT, side 4:- 2/0G. Side 4 in the centre of the label has the very RARE embossed tax codes KJT, indentifing this as a very early 1968 1st Pressing.
The fully laminated original UK 1st issue Numbered MONO Garrod and Lofthouse gatefold cover is in EX+ condition, lovely and clean and crisp, with only a few area's of light lamination creasing the cover no unwanted writing, and no seam splits, the number is clear to see, the spine is fully intact and perfectly readable, SUPERB condition.
Both vinyl's are in VG condition, with some light marks, both vinyl's play well, with some light crackle here and there, mainly inbetween tracks and in some of the quiet sections, the quality of this Mono 1st pressing is superb, clear and crisp, their is 1-2 light clicks near the start of "I'm So Tired", and at the start of "Good Night", both play through perfectly, and donot stick or jump, side's 1 and 2 play superbly, with the minimum of light crackle, side's 3 and 4 play with a little more light crackle in places.
All four label's are in EX condition, their is no unwanted writing, and no scuffs, the spindal holes have minimum wear, KJT tax code is embossed in the centre of side 4's label.
The vinyl's are housed in their original black inner sleeves and in VG condition, lovely and clean, with no unwanted writing.
The original UK poster is in EXcondition, lovely and clean and crisp, with no unwanted writing and no seam splits.
The original four prints are in EX++ condition, lovely and clean and crisp with no unwanted writing, no rips or tears.
Altoghether a very respectable copy of this original 1968 UK 1st Press double LP by the BEATLES, THE WHITE ALBUM.
