Description
This is the original UK LP by the BEATLES, SGT. PEPPER'S LONELY HEART CLUB BAND, 1st press MONO, with the original RARE, VERY 1st issue MONO laminated Garrod and Lofthouse WIDE SPINE gatefold cover with top flipbacks inside, the LP was released in June 1967 on the black and yellow PARLOPHONE label PMC 7027, with "GRAMOPHONE CO.LTD" label rim credit, and "Sold in the UK" label credits. Matrix numbers are, side 1:- XEX 637-1, side 2:- XEX 638-1, EMI stampers are, side 1:- 2/A0H, side 2:- 2/DD. The LP is complete with the original red, pink and white inner sleeve, and the original SGT.PEPPER 12" by 12" cut-out. The RARE original UK 1st issue MONO Garrod and Lofthouse gatefold WIDE SPINE cover is in a STUNNING MINT- condition, the cover has no unwanted writing, no rips, no seam splits, the cover is beautifully clean and crisp, boasting razor sharp edges and corners, the WIDE SPINE maintains it's impressive 8mm broadness, and is fully intact, super clean and crisp, and perfectly readable. The cover is in AMAZING condition, and has obviously been stored very carefully since the purchase in JUNE 1967, STUNNING condition!. The vinyl is in a STUNNING MINT- condition!, maintaining all it's original shine and lustre, the vinyl has possibly been played (signs on the label), but I would say no more than 3-4 times, and obviously handled and played very very carefully, a STUNNING VINYL!. The label's are in a very strong EX+++/MINT- condition, lovely and clean and crisp, with no unwanted writing, and no scuffs, the spindal hole only shows 3-4 times of play, with only 2-3 very light spider marks located around the spindal hole, KT tax code is embossed in the centre of side 2's label. The vinyl is housed in it's original red, pink and white inner sleeve and in EX+++ condition, lovely and clean and crisp both sides, their is no unwanted writing, and no rips, only a small seam splits at the bottom (which has been very carefully repaired) stops this lovely inner sleeve from being MINT-, the inner sleeve maintains it's beautiful bright vibrant colour, lovely inner sleeve. The original 12" by 12" SGT.PEPPER cut-out is in a STUNNING MINT- condition, lovely and clean and crisp, with no unwanted writing, and no rips, STUNNING condition!. Altogether a AMAZING MINT- original UK 1st Press MONO SGT.PEPPER LP, complete, and housed in the RARE, VERY 1st UK MONO Garrod and Lofthouse WIDE SPINE gatefold cover, to find one in MINT- condition, is a true pleasure!.
