Description
The Beatles - Please Please Me 1963 LP Rare mono first pressing on the Parlophone Black & Gold label with the Dick James Music reference on the label. Matrix no - XEX 421-1N / XEX 422-1N.
Original Inner sleeve is split along one side.
Record Sleeve is in poor condition creased, split along the bottom with a piece missing along the bottom at the back. It is an original however with Photo by Angus McBean bottom right corner.
Record has been well played with a lot of visible scratches and unfortunatly a small crack across the first track. But despite this it plays and sounds really well no jumps or sticking I always find it incredible how well these old mono pressings sound it is really loud and background crackles are really low. Below is a recording of this LP so you can judge for yourself.
Side 1 - I Saw Her standing There : Misery : Anna : Chains : Boys : Ask Me Why : Please Please Me.
Side 2 - Love Me Do : P.S. I Love You : Baby It's You : Do You Want To Know A Secret : A Taste Of Honey : There's A Place : Twist And Shout
In order to judge sound quality for yourself I have recorded both sides for you to listen to. This is of course in mp3 format so some loss in sound quality but it is a decent guide to how well this LP plays.
Lp's will be well packed in an industrial card mailer.
