RARE copy of this much sought after FIRST UK Beatle album released in 1963!
This is the 4th pressing first released in the summer of 1963 with black label and yellow logo and silver print. "The Parlophone Co. Ltd." is printed at the start perimeter print and "Recording first published 1963" at the 9 o'clock position.
Correct original sleeve with Angus McBean credit starting at the end of g in songs.
Sleeve: G+ Cool example of a 1963 laminated original cover! Front and spine are presentable with some creasing and overall wear throughout especially on the corners. Back cover has tape on top and bottom of the flipback with light soiling. Has a name written in pink on the top back. Spine is intact and readable.
Record: Side 1 visually G+ but plays VG. Plays well throughout with surface noise in quieter parts and occasional pops. There are no skips or loops. Side 2 visually is G+. Plays VG There are a few deeper scratches that add to the surface noise. It did not skip or loop on my turntable.
Matrix numbers: Side 1: XEX 421-1N; Side 2: XEX 422-1N.
The original cover from 1963 alone is probably worth the Buy It Now price!
