Original 1963 Red Parlophone Label
Catalogue No: 45-R 4983
This is a nice original pressing of the beatles second single from 1963 on the original red Parlophone label. Its originality is shown by the information/numbers below.
The vinyl still retains a lovely sheen and is in pretty much excellent condition throughout. At the outer edge of the record there are a couple of tiny 'dents'/'blips' in the vinyl, however the record plays fine through these with no skips or jumps. The A side of the record is otherwise in Excellent condition, with just some very fine surface marks. The B side of the record has a couple of slightly more noticeable light marks, but none of these affect the play.
The red Parlophone label is clear and bright on both sides. The B side label is completely clean, the A side label has a small name written on the record centre, which can be seen in the photo. The label contains the text 'The Parlophone Co..' and 'Recording First Published 1963'. It does NOT contain the text 'Sold in the UK..', again confirming it's originality. The B side label has the letters C T embossed either side of the centre hole and the letter M embossed below the centre hole.
MATRIX NUMBERS / STAMPER CODES
A Side Matrix is: 7XCE 17217-1N
A Side codes etched in the blind vinyl: MPT2 and T
B Side Matrix is: 7XCE 17218-1N
B Side coded etched in the blind vinyl: MPT1 and T
The record comes in original Parlophone sleeve.
This is now a very rare and highly collectable record which will only increase in value and is becoming harder and harder to find.
