1963 The Beatles - Please Please Me LP. PMC 1202 Mono. Gold & Black Parlophone label.
This is an original 1963 UK Black and Gold Mono 1st pressing of the 'Please Please Me' LP. Released on the 22nd March 1963 it was The Beatles debut UK album.
Two versions of this rare black and gold label exist. The first version incorrectly credits a number of songs to the 'Dick James Music Company'. The second version corrected this error to the 'Northern Songs' publishing company. Of the two issues the second 'Northern Songs' is regarded as rarer. This is due to far, far less of these being produced before EMI changed their label design to the yellow and black format. This record for auction is the rarer 'Northern Songs' issue.
In addition the record is housed within the original 'Emitex' poly lined inner sleeve and an 'Ernest J. Day' sleeve.
The matrix numbers are:
Side 1: XEX 421 - 1N, Side 2: XEX 422 - 1N
The matrix numbers are:
Side 1: RG 2, Side 2: GA 1
Vinyl Condition: The vinyl is in GOOD++ condition.
Cover Condition: The 'Ernest J. Day' cover is in VERY GOOD condition. Label Condition: Both labels are in VERY GOOD- condition.
Inner Sleeve Condition: The original poly lined 'Emitex' inner sleeve is in EXCELLENT condition.
VINYL VISUALLY GRADED BASED ON UK RECORD COLLECTOR GRADES WITH A + OR -.
