1963 UK 45-R 4949
Original 1963 first pressing (for stamper details see below) with matrix 7XCE 17217 & 17218 1N stamped in run-outs. The red labels do not include "Made In Great Britain".
There is an MZT Tax Code combination embossed round the centre of the the A-side label; oddly, as ZT was obsolete even before Please Please Me was recorded, let alone in production.
In an original stripy Parlophone sleeve.
Stampers:
A-side: MPT 1 GG B-side: MPT 2 H
Condition:
Parlophone sleeve has Beatles, Please Please Me and catalogue no written on; minor wear, all seams intact, in Very Good condition.
The disc is very nice. Spindle traces & minor wear to labels, both of which have name or initials written, as can be seen in photos. Vinyl surfaces retain a nice original shine; there are fine superficial marks over both sides. On the B-side there is a more noticeable mark barely audible. Play is great; full, clear sound, with no jumping or sticking, a little crackle, most noticeable on run-in & run-out.
Disc conservatively graded in VERY GOOD condition
