Description
On offer here is a VERY rare single (especially in this condition!!!!) called "Please Please Me" by The Beatles and is a UK 1963 1st pressing on the Red Parlophone label!!!! The B side is called 'Ask Me Why'. THIS IS A VERY RARE SINGLE INDEED AND VERY HARD TO FIND IN THIS CONDITION!!!! THIS WAS THE BEATLES 2ND SINGLE AND IS VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND ON THIS RED PARLOPHONE LABEL!!!! THE RECORD IS HOUSED IN ITS ORIGINAL (AND 1ST PRESS) 'STRIPEY' SLEEVE!!!! THIS IS ALSO THE FIRST PRESSING ON THE RED PARLOPHONE LABEL AND IT HAS THE RARER (AND MORE DESIRED) 'MADE IN GT BRITAIN' CREDITS TO BOTH LABELS WHICH IS ONLY FOUND ON THE VERY EARLIEST RED LABEL PRESSINGS!!!! DONT MISS OUT ON THIS RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!! The matrix numbers are 7XCE 17217-1N & 7XCE 17218-1N. The mother and stamper codes are 1/M & 1/GD (very early stamper codes - and BOTH from the first mother), and there is a MT tax code on the label & MPT tax code stamped in the run off groove. This is an ORIGINAL UK Parlophone 1st Pressing on the Red Parlophone label and the Cat No is 45-R 4983. Any fan of The Beatles, or 60s music in general, will want to have this in their collection!!!!
The record labels are in STUNNING condition (see pictures) NO writing, NO wear, only a couple of TINY marks (NOT through the colour) on one side, and only a few light spindle marks!!!! The record is in GREAT condition and plays brilliantly!!!! Most of these 60s singles had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This record is NOT and has NO scratches, only a couple of NON sounding TINY hairlines (only visible under light), a VERY few MEGA light and again NON sounding scufflines and some VERY light scuffing only visible under EXTREME light!!!! THE RECORD STILL RETAINS A STUNNING SHINE AND LUSTRE!!!! It is great to find that the playing of the record is as STUNNING (if not BETTER) as the visual!!!! It plays STUNNINGLY with NO pops, NO jumps, NO sticks, NO hiss, and NO crackle!!!! The single must grade Very Good++ if not better and plays better still!!!! Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!! The record comes in its ORIGINAL GREAT conditioned company sleeve!!!!
HAVE A LOOK AT MY PICTURES - I DO MY BEST TO SHOW THE RECORD FROM ALL ANGLES AND MAKE THE PICTURES AS CLEAR AS POSSIBLE - THERE IS NOTHING TO HIDE!!!! It really is a great looking record and it is truly rare to find any copies of this RARE single!!!! THIS WILL BE YOUR ONLY CHANCE TO BUY AN ORIGINAL 1963 PARLOPHONE UK 1ST PRESSING OF "PLEASE PLEASE ME" BY THE BEATLES IN BRILLIANT CONDITION!!!!
