Extremely rare original 1968 issue STEREO UK Beatles White Album top loading album cover! This is an original  first pressing numbered copy (number 0381807).  NOTE- VINYL IS FROM LATER PRESSING.

Original  copies of this Cover IN mint condition are among the hardest to find of any Beatles album! Take note that this is an original stereo album with the cover with openings to remove and replace the discs at the top! Only the original issues have this. Original copies of The Beatles opened from the top and were sequentially numbered.   The first run of mono copies began with No. 0000001 and continued through No. 0300000; the first run of stereo covers began with No. 0300001.  Later copies in 1969 run through about No. 0627000, with batches for mono and stereo.

Note: this is a very early low serial number.

 Album has the original black inner sleeves but is missing  original inserts ( the large poster and the 4 high quality glossy pictures of each Beatle). These inserts are easy to come by. 

As for the albums themselves, it appears that this is  a "match up" of the 1st press UK 1968 top loader cover with later-issue UK vinyl LPs placed in it. Best guess for vinyl dating is 1973.

A knowledgeable Beatles collector said :

"My best guess for the pressing date for the 2 vinyl LPs here would be late 1973; The vinyl LPs in the original UK 1st pressing top loaders, and even the 1969 and early 1970 2nd & 3rd "side loading cover" pressings have George Harrison's 4 songs credited to Apple Publishing & Ringo's track also credited to Apple. The labels here seem to have George's great songs credited to his own company, Harrisongs, which didn't exist in 1968.

Oh, and these LPs don't have the ESSENTIAL "Sold In UK.. subject to Resale.. see price lists" text located above the "The Beatles" and "Orchestrations by George Martin" text here." 

Discs are all MINT minus ( YOU COULD NOT FIND  BETTER COPY).

VG+ = a nice, but used record that may have a series of light scuffs or scratches. It probably plays with a few pops, but has no serious problems.

VG = a well-used record that still sounds OK when played, but may have moderate surface noise, pops, etc.

VG- = a very well-worn record that plays through without skipping, but will do until a better copy comes along.
