RUBBER SOUL
First Corrected UK Mono Pressing with uncommon "CBS Rim" on Side 1
"MT" Tax code on Side 2 and TNR Font labels
PARLOPHONE PMC 1267 : MATRIX NOs XEX 579 -4/ XEX 580 -4
Note: the "CBS" rims are an uncommon anomaly found on EMI records pressed around the mid-60s. There is an indentation / pressed ring around the outside of the label that is not seen on normal pressings. They normally only show up on one side of the LP. It's called the "CBS pressing" due to it's similarity to that of records pressed by CBS at the same time but it's believed that this anomaly comes from EMI re-using old pressing parts. These are rather uncommon to find!
The vinyl is in Good+ condition. It has sleeve removal marks and some scratches on both sides. It plays through without jumping on my system, but there is some surface noise and ticks caused by the wear.
The cover is in Fair condition. Original Mono Garrod & Lofthouse flipback that's seen better days. Holding together but with some more significant wear, especially to the openings, and a lot of dirt / yellowing on the back panels. The spine can still be read but there's a few spots of wear over certain letters.
Unfortunately does not come with it's original inner sleeve. There's a generic paper inner included.
This copy is not for the discriminating audiophile, but it still does play through nicely and it could be a rare addition for any Beatles collector
