Description:
Collecting Beatles Records Is About One Thing Only
QUALITY! QUALITY! QUALITY!
A Rare 12" Single Promo Record
It was released in September, 1987 to promote George’s new LP “Cloud Nine”. Both sides have the same track, the LP version of the song. PROMO RECORDS were ONLY released to radio stations for DJ airplay, so they were produced in VERY SMALL QUANTITIES. They were not available to the general public. Many were trashed after a period of time. Plus, most DJs wrote on the covers and labels or placed stickers on them. BUT NOT ON THIS RECORD!!
PROMO COPY NOT FOR SALE printed on both the 12" custom Picture Sleeve cover as well as both labels.
Of Harrison’s three number-one singles in the US, this was the only song not written by George and the only one without religious overtones. Not only was this the last US number 1 hit by Harrison, but from any of the ex-Beatles in the US.
Got My Mind Set On You happened to be the #1 single in the US the week immediately preceding the induction of the Beatles into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1988.
COVER: Extremely clean, No seam splits, No writing, No tape marks, No record ring, No rip or tears. Near Mint condition.
