strict gradings, in accordance with Rare Record Price Guide guidelines
I have play tested this lp on a Rega 3 record player and there is no serious skips or jumps but some background hiss throughout, only more prominent on the quiet ballads and between tracks
the Garrod & Lofthouse flipback laminated cover has some scuffed and slightly damaged front and rear opening edges (see photo), the 'LONG PLAY 33 1/3 R.P.M.' has been coloured in blue biro and a ring has been drawn on George's left hand, also in blue biro
the front cover has some thumb creases near the opening, the rear laminated folds are slightly grubby and there is some record impression on the rear which is clear more towards the opening end, the spine is unflattened but has a few spine splits that run 2cm in from the front/spine edge through the spine and onto the flipback fold, the 4 corners have a slight 'bump' and there is also a half inch split on the bottom edge
side 1 label is in very good condition with obvious signs of play
side 2 label is in very good condition with obvious signs of play (there is also a small scratch mark)
the black labels have SOLD IN THE U.K. text with yellow Parlophone symbol and Parlophone title, all other text is in silver
the label rims have THE GRAMOPHONE CO. LTD. text
the record comes housed in an original EMITEX inner sleeve which has some brown staining spots, several creases and is overall discoloured (possible cigarette staining)
this rare record has obviously been well played and not looked after, but generally overall a fair to good cover with a fair to good record
