I use the record collector grading system of Bad / Poor / Fair / Good (G) / Very Good / Excellent / Mint.
Please see below for grading details.
I also use a + or a - for grades that I consider slightly better or worse.
A VG disc on this site will not be is nasty condition like many sellers.
All records are sent out in plastic covers.
THE BEATLES.
RUBBER SOUL.
UK PARLOPHONE STEREO LP PCS 3075 1969 PRESSING.
1969 Stereo EMI 1 box labels. Decent example of this pressing.
The Cover / VG+ condition. This is a flipback Garrod and Lofthouse cover with really lovely lamination. The cover has a few creases. The back panel is nice and clean. The cover still looks very nice.
The Record / VG+ condition. Very clean disc with a few light marks under halogen light. The record has a wonderful original gloss and is a clean example that sounds great.
Matrix Numbers: YEX 178-3, YEX 179-3
Labels / EX+ condition. Both are lovely examples.
The Inner / VG condition. Original inner sleeve. Small number added to one side.
I USE THE UK GRADING SYSTEM BELOW.
Mint - as new and in perfect condition.
Excellent - A real nice example with light wear only. An EX disc will play great and the cover will be very nice too.
Very Good - The disc will have light surface wear and some light marks. The record will still play very well but may have some surface sound and a little crackle as this is graded as VG. The cover will have some creasing and storage age wear. The disc and cover will have no very serious faults. A VG disc and cover will also not be perfect!
Good / G condition - The disc will have very visible surface wear and light marks with some deeper marks. The cover will show much age wear and will not be the best example! The record will still play but will have surface sound and ticks etc.
Fair - This will be a tatty example of both disc and cover. The record will play with surface sound and noise. The cover will look tatty from age and storage wear.
Bad / Poor -This will be a badly worn example of both record and cover. The disc may jump or play with much surface sound. I would rarely sell an item like this.
