Description
BEATLES SOMETHING NEW FIRST PRESS LP GREEN ODEON LABLE 1/1 MATRIX RECORD N/M N/M
Just every now and again something special comes along, and this 1964 mono pressing of ‘Something New’ is that something. This is the first pressing made by the German Electrola Gesellschaft MbH Koln Company on the Green Odeon Lable Catalogue number: 83756, with first pressing matrix numbers XBEX 50059-1 and XEBX 50060-1. This record is in absolute pristine condition, not one spindle mark in sight and only a few very very light paper scratches to be seen, my pictures tell the story and the future owner will be delighted with the condition of this record. This record is from the Beatles very early days and together with a few German export issues is one of the rarest German Beatles Albums that exist and very much sought after in this condition.
The record is housed in it’s original Company ‘die cut’ inner sleeve advertising other record releases, this inner sleeve is also in pristine condition. The outer sleeve is the original first pressed front laminated sleeve (later issues were released inside an unlaminated sleeve) front sleeve has corner rubbing and opening edge has started to curl slightly. As seen the rear sleeve has an old sellotape mark along the bottom edge, otherwise rear sleeve is superb, clean no inks etc.
Have you got a Beatles Fan in the Family? if so this is the ultimate Christmas present and you’ll certainly be their best friend for a very long time.
