Description
"Something New" by The Beatles. This is a very special Record Club edition on the light green Capitol label, ST 8-2108. The cover has the 3 "hash' marks at the upper left. The label features the purple "C " logo. The number 16 is located on the lower corner, back cover. This is a Longines Symphonette issue. This very rare label variation features the word "Stereo" in narrow print. Also, there is a white circle around the spindle hole. But most importantly the Longines Symphonette information is printed on the labels, "Manufactured By Longines Symphonette-Symphonette Square New Rochelle New York-Under License From Capitol Records Inc.".
By 1972 Longines was placing their own name on the labels indicating the Record Club was theirs. Only a very few "green label" Capitol Beatles records were issued through the club on this label style.
Record Plays: VG++ / Near Mint.
Labels: Mint minus.
Cover: VG minus. Some light staining on back over.
