I was asked if the matrix numbers were etched or stamped. They are etched. This could possibly mean that this is not an original, according to an ebayer...I am not sure. Otherwise it looks ok to me, but I only feel confident about LPs.

FOLLOW UP:  I just researched this ep a bit on a Beatles site (Frank's Meagre Beatles Page) and I am fairly convinced from what he says that this is a real mccoy and not a fake. he mentions nothing about a stamped or etched matrix and when compared to John Lee Hooker VJ LPs the matrixes are very similarly etched! ...AND this cover and labels are sharply printed where the fakes are not. IF THE WINNER THINKS THIS IS A FAKE I WILL ISSUE A REFUND, NO PROBLEM!

I forgot to mention that this is a hard cover EP, not a paper sleeve! I have compared this EP with VJ 541, a similar vintage 45 by the "5 Royales" and the EP compares favorably with it in all respects as to authenticity. This reinforces my belief that this is almost certainly an original!! And after talking with a knowledgable friend, he thinks this is original also!! Sorry about all this blather!!
