PARLOPHONE PMC7027 1st UK pressing 1967
matrix xex 637-1,638-1 The standard yellow block writing Parlophone label.
The "All rights of the manufacturer" message around the edge of the label starts with "The Gramophone Co. Ltd."
The label DOES have "Sold in the U.K..." statement.
The cover is a RARE FOURTH PROOF gatefold with external flaps (flip backs) made by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. The inner sleeve is red and white, and there is a cardboard cut-out insert. mono SOUND QUALITY IS VG+ UK 1st PRESS FLIPBACK FOURTH PROOF GATEFOLD COVER IS VG+ laminate creases consistent with normal handling, wear on spine. '4th Proof' Sleeve.*All LP covers need to be designed, and it appears that some of the prototype text made it onto an initial run of Sgt. Pepper covers. Side 2 label has initials jc on it.
