BEATLES Slow Down / Matchbox 45 - 1978 Capitol Purple label. SCARCE - NM.
Offered here is this classic Beatles 45. Slow Down b/w Matchbox- Capitol 5255.
This particular variation is the 1978 Capitol Records Purple label reissue, not to be confused with the 1988 Capitol Purple with MANUFACTURED spelled along the label rim and the Capitol logo is smaller.
The 45 grades at best NM with NM labels and comes housed in it’s original Capitol sleeve.
The markings on the trail off area indicates a Winchester pressing.
The 1978 Capitol Purple label 45s on Earlier Beatles titles from I WANT TO HOLD YOUR HAND to ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE are much rarer because it had a 2 year run before going to the Blue Star Line label in 1981. The other titles from HELLO GOODBYE to THE LONG AND WINDING ROAD stay on the 78 Purple label till 1983.
