Description

Original Capitol Records Stereo "Something New".  Released 20 July 1964.  Spizer version CAP 2108.SR1A(i) and was manufactured at the Capitol Records Scranton, PA plant.  This is the rarer Stereo version of this album; Mono was still the predominant format in 1964.  Difficult and rare to find in this condition.  This copy was well cared for for 52 years.

Visually graded at NM- for the cover and the record using the visual grading standards of the Cox/Daniels "Price Guide For The Beatles American Records" (6th edition).  See my various photos of the cover and record.  A very nice copy for any Beatles collector.

Record -

1st printing copy with the standard Capitol rainbow labels showing the uncorrected "Nicholas" credit for "Komm Gib Mir Deine Hand" on side 2's label.  No "subsidiary" print.  No scratches visible; a few very fine lines were visible only when viewed under very bright light under the right angle.  No issues whatsoever (no skips, of course) playing the record.  Very minor wear to the side 1 label in the color band (see last photo) but no color is missing.  Barely any spindle-hole wear; this LP was obviously not played very much.  Stamped matrix: ST1-2108-B4 12, ST2-2108-A3 2.

Cover -

Awesome cover that has evidence that a prior owner had possible put initials in blue marker on the front where the double "New" exists. Seams and spine have no tears or separation; minor corner bump on the lower right corner and minor ding on the bottom seam.  Printing on the spine are intact and fully readable.  Some very minor light age staining on the rear that may be able to be cleaned off.  No water stains, no tape, no tape residue, etc.  #2 cover was manufactured by Imperial Paper Box Corp. in Brooklyn, NY.

Album will be shipped in a rigid cardboard mailer for protection.  Payment is due within 3 days of the auction's end.  Great piece of rock and roll history!  Please see my other Beatles items for sale.
