Description

THE BEATLES "THE BEATLES' STORY" 2LP set MONO version on Capitol Records (TBO 2222). RARE! In Beatle author Bruce Spizer's 2000 book release "The Beatles' Story On Capitol Records," he expounds on page 54 of Part Two (2nd book in 2 book set) of the need for Capitol Records to send out for additional copies of the Beatles' documentary release. It was the height of Beatlemania and the Capitol pressing plants couldn't keep up with the overwhelming demand. That is where this version of "The Beatles' Story" comes in. As Spizer explains, "...the regular albums contain records that have sides one and four on one disc and sides two and three on the other. This configuration (1/4/2/3 pairings) was done to accommodate purchasers who had turntables with spindle poles...that allowed for the stacking and continuous play of several in a row. Subcontracting the pressing to RCA produced sets with a 1/2/3/4 pairing and a unique label variation, CAP 2222.MR1A and MR1B(ii). As the 1/2/3/4 discs were manufactured by subcontractor RCA, they were pressed in lesser quantities and are scarcer and more valuable than the 1/4/2/3 records."
The set I'm offering is one of those RARE RCA subcontractor 1/2/3/4 sets!
The records in this set were much loved by a young Beatles' fan in the '60s, and though they grade out as GOOD, they play through without many pops and crackles. It's the labels that are important, and they are graded VG! The double pocket jacket grades at VG, and it looks great for display.
I am liquidating my extensive Beatles vinyl collection due to medical issues. BUY THIS NOW and don't let this rarity slip through your collector hands! It is hard-to-find and we offer it at a low price and we pay the postage....what's better than that?!  It is FAB!
