This is an excellent opportunity to obtain a really nice mono 1st pressing of The Beatles White Album with every part guaranteed to be 100% original from 1968.

This is the genuine, authentic original set, bought new in 1968. Nothing here has been substitued in any way and so everything is the original, bought together in 1968.

This has a low number 0054055 and a combination of label variants between the two disks - see photos.

Detailed grading

Sleeve: front/inner gatefold/back: VG/VG+/VG. The fully laminated, top loading sleeve is complete and intact with no significant problems. It has a low number 0054055 and does not have the word stereo stamped on the back, showing it to be the original mono sleeve. There is no edge wear to the laminated edges except for the spine where the laminate has come away in places, but the spine writing is all still legible. There is moderate wear to the top openings where the records have gone in and come out. It has ring wear on the front and back, a couple of corner creases and moderate wear to the corners mainly at the top and bottom of the spine. There are no tears, splits or writing anywhere on the sleeve.

Edge wear: left edge/right edge/bottom/spine/top openings/corners: none/none/none/moderate/moderate/moderate

Vinyl: Both records are nice and flat with no warping and the vinyl looks to be in good condition and still retains a nice sheen. The records have clearly been played many times and a visual inspection of the disks shows marks to the playing surfaces including some, which look like they might be audible but none which should impact on the record's playability. Totally original first press matrix numbers, see below.

Labels side 1/side 2/side 3/side 4: Ex/VG/Ex/Ex. Nice crisp, bright labels with no blemishes or writing. Note that disk one labels show "An E.M.I. recording" whereas disk two labels don't. This is the original pairing as bought in 1968. Side 2 label has a light scratch on it which is visible in the photo. All four labels show spindle marking when tilted into the light signifying that they have been played many times.

Original inner sleeves: VG. These are the original black inner sleeves. One has no creases, some very small tears to the opening and around the central hole and no splits at all. The other has some light creasing, some small tears near the opening and a split to one side.

Poster: Original matt poster in very good condition. Briefly hung on a wall at some point and so shows slight sellotape marks to the top corners and more noticeable in the bottom right corner. The bottom left hand corner has a tear and a very small bit missing. See photos. Other than this there are no tears or splits along the folds etc.

Photographs: Original photographs, Excellent. Never been hung on a wall, no pin holes or tears etc.

Detracting features not covered above - none.

First LP or 12" = £5.00, each additional LP or 12" add £1.80.

First 7" or CD = £1.70, each additional 7" or CD add £0.50.

Rest of the world (anywhere outside Europe)

First LP or 12" = £7.50, each additional LP or 12" add £2.80.

Double albums count as two items.  Posters, magazines, newspapers etc cost the same as LPs. Box sets and other specials will be priced accordingly.

All items will be very well packed using professional mailers and stiffeners as necessary. I try to recycle packaging wherever possible.

For high value packages (up to £500) I recommend that the item is sent insured.  This will be at the buyer's expense.  If you do not choose insurance and your item gets lost in the post I cannot be held responsible. The cost for this is an extra £4 in the UK and an extra £8 everywhere else (add these to the P&P costs above).  To insure a package over £500 please contact me for costs.
