Description

 The Beatles

" Twist And Shout " 

* genuine 1st issue, 1st pressing * No Reserve  

1964, Capitol T-6054 (original issue, 1st pressing) Canada MONO

( run off matrix #:  XEX-455   and   XEX-456 )

 

As in the USA, The Beatles' releases in Canada were marketed by Capitol.    But unlike America, Capitol in Canada issued the group's recordings beginning December 1963 (a full month before the 1st U.S. release "Introducing The Beatles"), and the first three Canadian albums were unique and different from the US releases.

"Twist and Shout", the second Beatles LP in Canada, was released on February 3 1964.     It consists of songs mostly drawn from Please Please Me, their first LP released in the United Kingdom, with the following exceptions:  "I Saw Her Standing There" and "Misery" are replaced with "From Me To You" and "She Loves You" on the Canadian release.

This is a nice, clean genuine first issue (1st pressing) .....with the correct run-off matrix numbers, 1st pressing labels and boxed statement at the bottom of the back cover ("This Monophonic Microgroove Recording Is Playable.......").

Tough to find clean copies of any of the Beatles' first 3 Canadian LPs
