Description

I MANAGED TO SECURE A DEAL ON 12TH JANUARY AT A PRICE OF £75 FOR THIS RECORD.

PLEASE LOOK AT MY FEEDBACK FOR THIS DATE AND YOU WILL FIND THE ORIGINAL LISTING DETAILS.

THIS LP STILL REMAINS A MYSTERY, BUT WE ARE SURE THAT THIS IS A RARITY WHICH SHOULD COMMAND A HIGH PRICE, HENCE MY RESERVE.

IF ANYONE COULD HELP WITH ANY INFORMATION ON THIS I'D BE REALLY GRATEFUL.

ORIGINAL LISTING INFO;

This is a fabulous item. It is a BEATLES album from the 1960's. The number is AF104. The tracks are: SIDE1:Can't Buy me Love, P.S. I Love You, Help, From Me To You, Ticket To Ride, I Feel Fine, Thank You Girl (Girl is written over two lines), SIDE 2: I Want TV Hold Your Hand (To is misspelt as TV), A Hard' Day's Night, Bad Boy, Please Me (Instead of Please Please Me), Love Me Do, She Loves You, We Can Work It Out.

This label is simply a hand typed label complete with spelling mistakes. Around the edge of the label it states "All Rights Of The Manufacturer and Of The Owner Of The Record Work Reserved Unauthorized Public Performance Broadcasting And Copying Of This Record Prohibited". The fact that unauthorized is spelt with a Z presumably means that this is a US pressing. The label states simply "ATA STEREO" and has a wing emblem at the side of the word Side 1/2.

On the runoff groove is simply the letters AF104, nothing else. From the wording around the edge of the label this would not be a bootleg.

The track listings do not correspond to any track listing of any released album that I can find.

I am of the opinion that this is either a very rare test pressing or may have been issued purely for the US forces at the time maybe for Vietnam. This certainly happened but am unable to locate this particular album.

I have played the album all the way through. There are no jumps, or clicks. The album does have surface marks but plays with background noise only. The label shows no damage to or around the spindle hole.

The record comes in a plain card outer sleeve but pasted on the top is a smal llabel which states ...

THE BEATLES

THE BEATLES

A / A

AF

104

STEREO

I have done a little research on the handwriting and it does look identical to that of Harry Moss who was the Beatles engineer. I have no way to prove this but bearing in mind what this album is it certainly could be.

I have set a high starting price for this because I believe this to be a truly very rare find. A real piece of Beatles history.

Happy bidding.
