Description
Up for auction is a copy of My Bonnie b/w The Saints by Tony Sheridan and The Beatles (here credited as the Beat Brothers), released in 1961 on Polydor, cat no 24 673. This is an original copy of the very first German pressing, featuring the German language intro, omitted from all subsequent editions, and “rock” (rather than “twist”) label credit. This is the first edition of the first record on which The Beatles appeared; an immeasurably important record, and a very rare one too.
Condition: quite a few surface marks on both sides, but nothing too deep or feelable. Used, but not abused. VG-. Cover is a repro, but will serve its purpose until a real one shows up, though you may have a long wait.
My grades: I use a 10-point scale: M-; EX; VG+; VG; VG-; G+; G; G-; F (fair); P (poor). I never use mint as a grade for used records. I am a long-time (25+ years!) record collector, and play-grade where possible. I don’t use stock photos: the item pictured here is the item for sale.
