Stunning Clear Audio!

Another from my personal collection of  UK Beatles Records that I have accumilated over a period of more than 45 years! These original fan club discs were issued to fan club members only and are very collectable indeed especially in this condition! This being their sxth issue! The cover is exceptionally clean at least excellent/plus!  Of course these discs were sent out as a novelty and were not meant for repeated play and could not stand and abuse at all and they are so easy to damage. Imperfections in the discs during manufacturing are common place and these were not meant for audiophiles, so often, clicks and pops are present during playback even on new discs that have no ware! I have recorded both sides so the recordings can be listened to. There is no visable needle scratches from ware that I can see. I have not tried to clean the disc of any marks that may be present because these are so flimsy that I would not know how to tackle this. There are no visable needle marks or scratches that I can see! The audio is actually clear and sharp slight imperfections in the vinyl may be heard in the form of light isolated ticks or clicks but this is enjoyable and rare to find in this condition looks barely ever played in my opinion!  Listen to the playback on both sides!

The first Beatles Christmas fan-club disc to be recorded separately, the 1968 offering is a collage of odd noises, musical snippets, and individual messages. McCartney's song "Happy Christmas, Happy New Year" is featured, along with John's poems "Jock and Yono" and "Once Upon a Pool Table." Also notable is a rendition of "Nowhere Man" by the ukulele-playing Tiny Tim. Also included is a sped-up snippet of the Beatles' own "Helter Skelter" and a brief snippet of Perrey & Kingsley's "Baroque Hoedown" which was used three years later in Disneyland's Main Street Electrical Parade. "Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da" and "Birthday" are also heard in the background for part of the message.The dialogue and songs for the flexi-disc were organised and edited together by DJ and friend of the Beatles, Kenny Everett.

The Disc
Visually this is super glossy in appearence and it doesn't look like it has been played that much at all in my opinion. Slight factory imperfections may be seen when angled to the light (common with these flexy discs)  Finger marks or dust on the playing surface has been left to someone who wishes to attempt this!

Please note! There is some finger marks on the label printing which has caused smudging mark on the print again the finger mark may cleam of but I am not going to attempt this.

Playback
I have play tested the disc both sides prio to this listing and provided both tracks of these sides for your evaluation! Please note! I find these discs hard to play at my normal weight settings on my system cartridge, I have to adjust the cartridge weight to 1.5 grams in order for these to play/sound to an acceptable standard.

The Cover sleeve.
This is the original West Brothers printed flipback cover in Excellent to excellent plus condition in my opinion. There is just light storageware creasing at one corner noticable at the rear if looked for. Unbeleivably clean and bright. No splits or tares no grubbyness which is often found on these 40 year old covers!
