Paul McCartneys second solo album ‘RAM’.

1971 PAS 10003 - Apple record labels.

An early issue with the record labels and the record made by ‘Pathé-Marconi’ in France, in original condition, featuring:

1. the company ‘Pathé-Marconi’ was founded by EMI. During the early 1970s ‘Pathé-Marconi’ were asked to help manufacture Beatle records, these copies were originally issued with the record and the record labels, manufactured in France and then placed into UK inner and outer sleeves,

2. the main sleeve is a very first UK gatefold issue, made and printed in England. The sleeve is fully laminated,

3. very early issue record labels, as the label on side one features a dark green apple colour.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in excellent condition, the gatefold sleeve is fully laminated. The laminate has retained its original glossy finish and is free from any ‘indentations’ and thumb creases to the laminate. The sleeve is an original UK first issue sleeve, with the text ‘made and printed in England’. The two opening edges are in excellent condition and have remained clean and sharp. The spine is in excellent condition and all the text on the spine is clear to read. There are NO stains, pen writing, splits, tears, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in near excellent condition, and states ‘EMI important notice, EMI records Ltd’. The two opening edges have remained clean and unworn. The sleeve has remained an excellent fresh white. There are NO tears, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve. The is a split to the two side edges and to the bottom edge.

THE RECORD: is in excellent+ condition. The record is made from quality thick, heavy vinyl. It has remained very dark and glossy.

The matrix are:

Side one: 04810 A 21, also engraved onto the ‘run off’ groove is the text: M6 279125 and 10003 A,

Side two: 04810 B 21, also engraved onto the ‘run off’ groove is the text: M6 279126 and 10003 B,

THE AUDIO: is excellent, it plays with excellent quiet grooves. The record lays flat on the turntable.

THE LABELS: are in MINT condition. As this is a very early copy, side one shows a DARK green ‘Apple’ colour. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

Apple 31, 45 rpm - No matter what/Better days, original UK stereo issue from 1970, solid centre.

CONDITION:

THE SLEEVE: is in very good condition, it is plain white and has a ‘die cut hole’ on one side of the sleeve. Theres NO pen writing, splits, tears, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve.

THE RECORD: side one is in very good condition, side two is in very good++ condition. It has remained very dark and glossy.

The matrix are:

side one: Apple 31 A 1 U,

side two: Apple 31 B 2U,

The letters ‘KT’ are also engraved onto the ‘run off’ on each side.

The mother / stampers are: ‘ 2 A T ’ and ‘ 2 OR ’,

THE AUDIO: is excellent.

THE LABELS: side one is in excellent+ condition. Side two is in excellent condition. As this is a very first UK issue side one shows a DARK green ‘Apple’ colour. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

The second single is:

Apple 40, 45 rpm - Day after day/Tuesday morning, original UK stereo issue from 1972.

CONDITION:

THE SLEEVE: is in very good condition, it is plain white and has a ‘die cut hole’ on each side of the sleeve. Theres NO pen writing, splits, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve.

THE RECORD: is in very good++ condition, it has remained very dark and glossy.

The matrix are:

Side one: Apple 40 A 1 U, the engraving actually reads ‘4C’ as the ‘0’ has been mis pressed !,

Side two: Apple 40 B 1 U, again, the engraving actually reads ‘4C’ as the ‘0’ has been mis pressed !,

The letters ‘KT’ are also engraved onto the ‘run off’ on each side.

The mother / stampers are: ‘1 M ’ and ‘1 R ‘,

THE AUDIO: is excellent.

THE LABELS: side one is in excellent condition and side two is in very good condition. The label on side one features a period, light green, matt finish label, circa of Apple records in 1972. The ‘knock out’ centre has been ‘removed’. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.
