ALBUM PLAYED FOR AUDIO GRADING:

Yes – brilliant! – EXCELLENT sound quality throughout.

This early think pressing of Revolver plays with super Strong clear audio.

This great record plays up to the high visual grading and beyond. Strong, undistorted sound, with some light background noise in quiet areas, but on the whole still very enjoyable. 

I noticed a few light clicks in the middle of 'Into my Life',  but they are light and in no way dominant or continuous. Apart from that there are NO pops or clicks, just strong clear brilliant beatles. The Mono sound jumps out, with definition and clarity,  and tremendous power.

Revolver is the seventh album by The Beatles, released on 5 August 1966. Many of the tracks on Revolver are marked by an electric guitar-rock sound, in contrast with their previous, folk rock inspired Rubber Soul. It reached number 1 on both the UK and US Charts and stayed at the top spot for seven weeks and six weeks, respectively.

The album is often regarded as one of the greatest achievements in rock music history, and one of the Beatles' greatest studio achievements. It was released before their last tour in August 1966, but they did not perform songs from the album live. Their reasoning for this was that many of the tracks on the album, such as "Tomorrow Never Knows", were too complex to perform with live instruments.

THE RECORD – VISUAL GRADING – EXCELLENT

A heavy extra thick vinyl in glossy, mirror like condition. There are a  few very light hairlines, and one tiny scratch on 'Into my life', but it is hardly noticeable.  The album plays right through with NO sticks or jumps what so ever, just great clear strong sound.   

VINYL TESTED FOR ANY SIGNS OF WARPING:

Yes, NONE visible what so ever when tested be sight and on a moving turntable.     

VINYL SOUND - Please Note:

Top quality vinyl with clear sound is rare, and is what I always aim for. Even with the cleanest copies you will find occasional static sound during playback, caused by a build of dust in the grooves. This is clearly different from the distortion, loud pops or clicks that are found on heavily played and worn pieces of vinyl. Any static build up will reduce when played, and I advise a light clean should be given between plays for optimal performance.

THE COVER –  EXCELLENT

ALBUM IS COMPLETE WITH THE MONO ISSUE GARROD OUTER SLEEVE WITH THE PATENTS PENDING TEXT TO THE BOTTOM RIGHT HAND CORNER OF THE REAR. 

THIS IS A SUPERB COVER WITH LITTLE TO FAULT IT. JUST A COUPLE OF EXTREMELY LIGHT LAMINATE CREASES, THE SPINE IS 100% SOLID & READABLE, NO RIPS OR TEARS. THE REAR OF THE SLEEVE IS ALSO CLEAN AND BRIGHT, NO RINGWEAR AND NO GRAFFITI. 

GREAT CONDITION BECOMING MORE AND MORE UNUSUAL FOR THESE FRAGILE UK ISSUE 60'S SLEEVES. AN EXTREMELY RARE AND COLLECTABLE EXAMPLE

A great solid example. All round, this is a really nice cover!!!    

THE LABELS -  EXCELLENT  PLUS CONDITION

Famous labels are in EXCELLENT PLUS Condition, no writing, or tears, and minimal light spindle traces only. These  are a beautiful pair of labels, deep un eroded colour, absolutely gorgeous.

THE INNER

Comes with The Original First Press Inner Sleeve with Polythene Lining, intact and in great condition. States: "USE EMITEX..." & "IMPORTANT - TAKE GOOD CARE OF YOUR MICROGROOVE RECORDS ..."

VERY GOOD PLUS condition, - NO tears around the die cut opening, NO seem splits and NO wear at the top. Just some light discolouration. A strong example.     The record will of course come in a replacement plain inner to protect the original.    

RARITY

EARLY MONO PRESSINGS of REVOLVER in playable condition as becoming scarce. The vinyl is so often played so much, heavily marked, scratched, with noisy, poor and distorted sound.   The cover is almost impossible to find without serious wear, even modestly worn examples are scarce and this one is pretty solid, with no cracks or serious marks. Finding a nice cover like this, with a heavy piece of vinyl, with clear un distorted audio fantastic!.

  MINT: Virtually unplayed. The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. Cover is pristine.

  EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

  V.G PLUS: The record will still be nice and shiny, but may have a few light marks, and will play well. Slight wear and tear on the cover.

  V.G: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items.

  GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, etc.

  FAIR: Fair. It is noticeable that the record has been played so much that the sound quality has deteriorated very noticeably. The cover and contents are showing signs of folding, scuffing of edges etc.
