BEATLES UK, Sgt Pepper, dated sleeve, original 1967 UK mono LP.
PMC 7027, original UK 1967 black and yellow Parlophone labels.
An early UK 1967 mono issue, featuring:
1. a period EMI inner sleeve, with an EMI ‘dated’ stamp, of, ‘Nov 7 1967’.
CONDITION:
THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in very good++ condition, the sleeve is fully laminated. The laminate has remained very clean and glossy. The spine is in very good condition, it has remained strong and complete, with some slight laminate loss and some slight discolouring, but most of the text on the spine is readable. When the ‘gate fold’ sleeve is opened the two original top, ‘flip backs’, ie fold over edges can be seen. When the ‘gate fold’ sleeve is opened it is super clean and glossy. There are NO splits, tears, pen writing, stains, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve.
THE INSERT: is in good++ condition, it would have been graded higher, as in excellent condition but the ‘moustache’ has been ‘cut out’ (included). It is the original DARK green cardboard ‘cut-out’. The rear of the insert has remained very clean. There are NO tears, pen writing, stains, stickers or sticker residue on the insert.
THE INNER SLEEVE: is in very good++ condition and is a ‘period’ EMI black and white advertising sleeve. The inner sleeve has an official looking dated, ‘EMI’ stamp on one side of, ‘Nov 7 1967’.
The two opening edges have remained clean for their age. There are NO tears, splits, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the inner sleeve. There is a small ‘nick’ to the rear opening edge and some age related discolouring / toning / foxing to the outer edges each side.
THE RECORD: each side is in very good+ condition. The record is made of the original, period 1960s ‘thick, heavy’ vinyl. It has remained dark and glossy.
The matrix are: XEX 637 - 1 and XEX 638 - 1,
The mother / stampers are: ‘2 ADO’ and ‘19 RHH’.
THE AUDIO: each side plays near excellent, each side plays with some light ‘crackle’ and some light ‘ticks’ heard here and there. The record lays flat on the turntable.
THE LABELS: side one is in near excellent condition, there is a name written in black pen within the yellow ‘£’ sign. Side two is in excellent condition. The letters ‘KT’ are embossed around the spindle hole on side two. The labels are free from any ‘other’ pen writing and free from any stickers or sticker residue.

BEFORE POSTING, THE RECORD IS REMOVED FROM THE RECORDS ORIGINAL INNER AND OUTER SLEEVES, THE RECORD IS THEN PUT INTO A SECOND PAPER INNER SLEEVE TO MINIMISE ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR WHILE IN TRANSIT. THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
