PCS 7027, 1969 one EMI box black and silver Parlophone labels.

An original UK issue in original condition, featuring:

1. an unusual feature of this particular sleeve is the top two exposed ‘flip backs’. These two ‘flip backs’ are deeper than regular sleeves as they measure 19mm deep. There is also virtually NO angle of cut to the ends of the ‘flip backs’, see photo,

2. to the rear bottom, right there is the text ‘Patents Pending’, this text was printed in error as by 1969 the Patents on the sleeves had been agreed.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in near excellent condition. The sleeve is fully laminated, this laminate has an excellent glossy quality finish and has remained relatively free from much ‘scuffing’, for its age. The spine is in excellent++ condition and is one of the cleanest spines I have seen for a long time as it has remained a brilliant fresh white in colour and all the text on the spine is crystal clear to read. The original exposed two top ‘flip backs’ can be seen when the sleeve is opened. There are NO stains, tears, splits, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve. There is a small area of ‘scuffing’ to the rear bottom right of the sleeve.

THE INSERT: is in poor condition as one of the ‘cut outs’, has been, ‘cut out’.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in excellent condition and is the original red and white EMI advertising inner sleeve. It has remained very clean and white for its age. The two opening edges have remained very clean. Theres NO pen writing, splits, tears, stickers or sticker residue on the inner sleeve.

THE RECORD: side one is in MINT condition, I cannot see any marks at all on the playing surface. The condition of the record has been judged under normal daylight conditions. Side two is in excellent++ condition. The record doesn't look as if it has been played very much at all. The record is made of the period 1960s ‘thick, heavy’ vinyl, it has remained very clean, dark and glossy.

The matrix are: YEX 637 - 1 and YEX 638 - 1,

The mother/stampers are: ‘2 G H T’ and ‘1 G H T’.

THE AUDIO: is excellent++, a near perfect audio, the record plays with excellent quiet grooves. The record lays flat on the turntable.

THE LABELS: side one is in excellent++ condition. Side two is in excellent+ condition. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
