Description
BEATLES UK – With the Beatles LP, featuring the last 1960s Mono labels.
PMC 1206 – black and yellow Parlophone labels.
A UK album in original condition, featuring:
1. The front sleeve photo shows the more unusual image that is still very dark but not as grainy as the very early sleeves. Efforts were made by EMI to ‘lighten up’ the photo so more detail could be seen on the faces, on the shadow side.
2. the record labels feature the very last Mono labels to be printed in the 1960s as on side two the track ‘Devil in her heart’ appears on one line of text, this track usually appears on two lines of text on earlier labels,
3. to the rear top right of the sleeve, there is an original ! price sticker label that reads ‘37/5’,
4. the record label on side one is unusual as it has the tax code of ‘MT’ this code was discontinued in July 1963 and it is believed that these later Mono labels were printed sometime after this date !.
CONDITION:
THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in excellent condition, the front is laminated. The front laminate is excellent and relatively crease free. The spine is in excellent condition and all the text is clear to read. The rear of the sleeve has the period tri flipback design. There are NO splits, tears, pen writing or sticker residue on the sleeve.
THE INNER SLEEVE: is in excellent condition and is the original period red and white EMI advertising sleeve. This sleeve would be correct for these later Mono labels, ie circa 1969. Theres NO pen writing, tears, splits, stains, stickers or sticker residue to the sleeve.
THE VINYL: side one is in excellent++ condition, side two is in near MINT condition, side two looks like new, it is difficult to see any marks at all on the playing surface under normal daylight conditions. The vinyl has remained very dark and glossy and is made from the period, thick, heavy vinyl.
The matrix are: XEX 447 – 7 N and XEX 448 – 7 N,
The Mother / Stampers are: ‘3 7 GR R ’ and ‘9 R H R’.
THE AUDIO: is excellent, the vinyl lays flat on the turntable and plays excellent with NO jumps or skips.
THE LABELS: are in excellent condition, unusually the letters ‘MT’ are embossed around the spindle hole on side one. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.
TO GRADE THE CONDITION OF THE RECORD I AM USING THE OFFICIAL GRADING SYSTEM FROM THE ‘RECORD COLLECTOR’ MAGAZINE.

PACKING - ALL RECORDS ARE POSTED WITH MULTI LAYERED CARD STIFFENERS FOR PROTECTION.BEFORE POSTING, THE RECORD IS REMOVED FROM THE RECORDS ORIGINAL INNER AND OUTER SLEEVES, THE RECORD IS THEN PUT INTO A SECOND PAPER INNER SLEEVE TO MINIMISE ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR WHILE IN TRANSIT. THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
