BEATLES UK – ABBEY ROAD LP, very first press, mispressed misaligned apple logo sleeve, Ex+.
1969 PCS 7088 - Apple record labels.
A UK very first press album in 100% original condition, featuring:
1. a Misaligned APPLE logo mispress on the rear of the sleeve,
2. on side two of the record label the track ‘Her Majesty’ is not printed on the record label nor on the rear of the sleeve, but the track does play on the record !
CONDITION:
THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in excellent+ condition, the sleeve has an excellent quality glossy laminate. For its age the four corners of the sleeve have remained sharp. The original ‘thin’ spine is straight and clean and in excellent+ condition and all the text on the spine is clear to read. As this is a very first pressing of this album it features the Apple logo on the rear of the sleeve misaligned, to the left !. EMI were quick to correct this and very soon the sleeves were changed and the Apple logo was correctly aligned with the song listing. There are NO stains, pen writing, splits, tears, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve.
THE INNER SLEEVE: is in near excellent condition and is the original EMI plain white sleeve with the text ‘Patent Nos. 1,125,555’ on. A very clean sleeve that has been very well preserved. Theres NO pen writing, tears, stains, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve. There is some side edge splits to one side and to the bottom edge of the sleeve.
THE VINYL: side one is in excellent+ condition, under normal daylight condition it is hard to see any marks at all on the playing surface, side two is in excellent condition, it is clear that the record has not been played very much at all. The vinyl is made from the period thick, heavy vinyl. It has remained very clean, dark and glossy.
The Matrix are: YEX 749 - 2 and YEX 750 - 1, the mother/stampers are: ‘ 4 O D P ’ and ‘ 1 0 A H O ’,
THE AUDIO: is excellent, with little to spoil the listening pleasure, one of the best audio playbacks I have heard for a long time. The record lays flat on the turntable and plays excellent with NO jumps or skips from the needle.
THE LABELS: side one is in excellent+ condition, side two is in near MINT condition, again, signs of very little play. As this is a very first pressing side one shows a DARK Green Apple colour. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
