LOW STARTING BID AND NO RESERVE
This is a TOP COPY of the MONO version of this LP. It is not over graded in anyway - its not in my interests to do so and is covered by my personal guarantee if the purchaser is not satisfied. (see below).
This is a top opening UK original mono copy of this LP with first press matrix numbers and comes complete with die cut inners, 4 photogrphs and poster. The number printed on the cover i.s 0190042.
The matrix numbers and stamper details are as follows:
Side One: XEX 709-1, 5 OM Side Two: XEX 710-1, 7 OL Side Three: XEX 711-1, 3 HP Side Four: XEX 712-1, 4 TH.
Label Data as follows:
The first LP has 'Mtd in UK' on both sides BUT NO 'An EMI recording'. The second LP has 'An EMI recording' and 'Mtd in UK'. Both labels are the deep shade of green not the yellowish later version. None of the labels have any marks, writing or wear at all grade EX++ to MINT.
VINYL
Is overall EX++ to near MINT visually and near perfect in terms of sound quality. Absolutely no deterioration in the original mono sound with original deep gloss and oily-looking sheen.
Side One is EX++ to near MINT with only one or maybe two of the very lightest paper-type marks which can only be seen under halogen low voltage spotlights. The play quality is superb as you expect from vinyl of this quality. Side Two is EX +. Only a very few extremely light hairlines which can only be seen under halogen lights. The play quality is absolutely superb Side Three is EX+ Only one or two of the very lightest hairlines only visible at all under halogen lights. Superb play grade. Side Four is EX Only a very few of the lightest non-sounding paper-type marks. Play grade superb.
Die Cut Inners are EX and VG++.
The COVER
The gatefold top-opening COVER is in fantastic condition and must grade at least EX++. There is no creasing or siginficant age discolouration whic is usually found on copies of this LP. The opening top edges are still razor sharp. There is no laminate lifting and the spine is straight and totally readable. The only points to mention are two mionor laminate creases and a very slight corner ding bottom right only visible on the rear.
Photographs are EX++ except for slight crease on corner of George and there is one of the original inter leaves still present.
The poster is VG+ to EX with only slight signs of having been folded and unfolded over the years. No pin holes or tape marks.
THIS IS A VERY NICE COPY OF ONE THE EARLIER MONO PRESSINGS AS IS INDICATED BY THE MATRIX AND STAMPER DATA - ONE OF THE LPs HAS NO 'EMI' ON THE LABEL AGAIN INDICATING AN EARLY DATE OF ISSUE.

In late 1968 (ie only days after the first release of this LP) EMI started using labels with EMI on them. Most copies of this LP you will find have this writing printed on the labels. This is a transitional copy issued using one of the first batch of LPs pressed and one of a subsequent batch. IT IS STILL A FIRST PRESSING but one of a few rare copies issued late 1968 with one copy from the earliest batch of LPs pressed and one from the second batch.
