Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab  is a company that produces reissues of classic albums. All releases are made from the first generation master tape and mastered at half-speed, allowing for an improved sound quality. In the past, MFSL has produced cassette tapes, LPs, CDs, and even VHS releases of a few titles. In addition, each title is licensed to be mastered, manufactured, and sold within a specific time frame, and because of the limited quantities produced, the releases are highly sought after by collectors.

Although Mobile Fidelity existed prior to 1978, MFSL's popularity began at that time with the Original Master Recording LP. The first titles in the series were classical releases by the Mystic Moods Orchestra. The label hit mainstream appeal with their release of Supertramp's Crime of the Century. Other popular titles followed, such as Steely Dan's Katy Lied, George Benson's Breezin', Fleetwood Mac's S/T, and Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon.

MFSL's releases became highly publicized in 1981 when they released a box set of Beatles recordings. This comprised all thirteen original British versions of their albums, mastered from the original Abbey Road Studios master tapes. With the high-density "virgin" vinyl and half-speed mastering, these versions produced a sound quality never previously heard on earlier Beatles releases.

These pressings have become extremely sought after by both collectors and Audiophiles who demand the highest quality sound reproduction possible...and this MFSL pressing certainly delivers just that!

Offered for sale is an original Capitol Label pressing of this Album, featuring near mint labels and barely played vinyl this copy comes housed in its original gatefold sleeve with both lyric inners and poly inners and is also complete with its original warranty certificate and feedback mailer. 

THE lABELS TO ALL FOUR SIDES ARE IN NEAR MINT CONDITION WITH JUST ONE OR TWO VERY TINY SPINDLE TRAILS VISIBLE TO EITHER LABEL. THE LABELS ARE SPOTLESSLY CLEAN AND BRIGHT WITH PERFECT LETTERING AND NO UNWANTED MARKS. 

THE GLOSSY VINYL HAS BARELY BEEN PLAYED AND THEREFORE IT DISPLAYS JUST THE ODD VERY VERY LIGHT AND TINY,  WISPY SURFACE MARK, THE VINYL LIES PERFECTKY FLAT WITH NO WARPING AND THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO OTHER BLEMISHES OR ANY DULLING TO THE PLAYING SURFACE.

AUDIO IS FLAWLESS.... ONE CAREFUL PLAY BY MYSELF REVEALED A PERFECT AND UNBELIEVABLE SOUND REPRODUCTION. THE VINYL PLAYS FROM START TO FINISH WITH NO DISTORTION PRESENT AT ANY POINT..... YOU HAVENT HEARD THE "WHITE ALBUM" AT ITS BEST UNTIL YOU HEAR THIS PRESSING! 

THE POLY ANTI STATIC INNERS ARE SUPERB WITH JUST THE EXPECTED CREASES EVIDENT. 

THE CARD LYRIC INNERS ARE ALSO SUPERB AGAIN WITH JUST THE ODD LIGHT CREASE AND LIGHT SIGNS OF AGE AND HANDLING.

THE WARRANTY CERTIFICATE AND FEEDBACK MAILER ARE NEAR MINT.

THE OUTER GATEFOLD SLEEVE IS SUPERB. THE FRONT SHOWS THE ODD LIGHT CREASES AND A FEW HANDLING MARKS, THE OPENING EDGE IS STILL STRAIGHT AND TRUE AND THERE ARE THE EXPECTED CORNER BUMPS VISIBLE. THE REAR IS AS PER THE FRONT. THE INNER OF THE SLEEVE IS BRIGHT WHITE AND EXCEPTIONALLY CLEAN WITH VIRTUALLY NO HANDLING MARKS. THE SPINE IS PERFECT, RIGID AND CREASE FREE. THE SLEEVE IS INTACT AND FREE FROM ANY SPLITS OR TEARS.

OVERALL A SUPERB AND BARELY PLAYED EXAMPLE OF THIS ORIGINAL MFSL MASTER RECORDING PRESSING.
