Description
A really lovely copy of the White Album, in glorious mono. Barely any marks, and the vinyl shines - just a bit of dust after 50 years or so unplayed (it came from a couple with no record player after they were married). Fully playtested, it is a superb listen, no skips, jumps, scratches (apart from one visible needle drop on Honey Pie on Side 3 which pops four times) or even crackle. It comes with three photographs (John has gone AWOL), a spacer, an original giant poster and both original inners, all in excellent condition.
The matrix numbers are XEX 709/10/11/12-1. The records are an early CROSSOVER VARIANT, LISTED ON DISCOGS. AT HIGHER PRICES. That is, the first record includes ‘An EMI Recording’ at 9 o.clock on both labels - the second doesn’t, on either side.
The sleeve has a little wear at corners, some age marks, and wear to the top opening (see photos). There are a handful of laminate creases, and some barely visible ringwear on the reverse.
A quite superb all round example.
